Nantu Forest Wildlife Reserve northern Sulawesi

The 63 hectare large Nantu Forest is not just an ordinary forest – it is a real jungle with huge trees, orchids, picturesque waterfalls, clean rivers and home of hundreds of species which can only observed and found on the island of Sulawesi.

Nantu Forest is the last stronghold globally of the pig-deer called Babi rusa (Babyrousa babirussa) which is in grave danger of extinction and is the habitat for Sulawesi's other extraordinary endangered wildlife, including the rare Anoa (Bubalus depressicornis) an endemic forest pygmy buffalo, a locally endemic species of macaque (Macaca Heckii) and the spectral Tarsier (Tarsius spectrum). A lot of endemic birds can be found there as well.

Explore this last paradise with us!

We offer 3D/2N and 4D/3N tours to Nantu Forest. Please contact us for detailed information.

  2. Hi
I would like to come to Sulawesi for about 2 weeks. Interested in herping and wildlife photography. I'm living in Thailand for 6 months every year.
Could you please give me more information about this place?
